Passiflora: the luminous evolution of Radical DesignThe Passiflora luminaire is based on a painted cardboard prototype designed for the "Superarchitettura" exhibition (December 1966), a manifesto of Radical Design .The cardboard was replaced by a material transparent to light, transforming the Passiflora into a luminous column: a column whose distorted form oscillates between the natural and the artificial, in a play of allusion and ambiguity, corresponding to Superstudio's declaration of intent, summarized in the text Design of invention and design of escape. |
